Fiona goes to UCLA July 21-23! YAY
Saw the pulmonologist today....um......well you know how she was complaining of being short of breath, feeling like she was going to pass out, lots and lots of chest pains? Sound familiar?? Well we now have the proof there is a medical reason why. Her oxygen exchange rate in her lungs is really reduced. In fact, there are a few problems. The good old AVMS, oh course causing problems. It also appears there may be some constriction of the blood vessels in the lungs and then the most unsettling is that the blood may be going through her lungs too fast, not slowing down enough to let the exchange happen....good old liver disease. The pulmonologist is very shocked at this new finding and he doesn't want to do anything else at this moment because Fiona has had way too many xrays and CT scans. She is going to glow in the dark...oh wait....maybe she already does. So the pulmonologist is waiting to hear what UCLA thinks and what tests they want. He has a guess but doesn't want to order something they won't ask for. So now we wait until the end of July.
